This past fall our family had our basement finished by Arnie’s Electric. Prior to the renovation our basement was nothing but concrete walls, concrete floor, and unfinished ceilings. After the renovation, our basement is now the perfect recreation area for our growing kids.
Arnie and his crew did a fantastic job for us, starting with a very detailed walk through to develop an accurate estimate. Arnie pointed out helpful tips that we would have never thought of, including special wiring for TV/gaming area, extra lighting, and pull out basement windows.
Our basement renovation included drywalling of all walls and ceilings, new electrical work, new windows, additional closets, flooring, recessed lighting, painting and heating ductwork. Arnie was always available for questions. We happen to be picky customers, and Arnie always took our phone calls to answer questions and explain different parts of the process. We greatly appreciated his availability.
It now houses our video games, pinball machine, fusball table, air hockey table and more. We now have an area that our kids and their friends can call their own. My wife and I would highly recommend Arnie’s Electric to anyone looking to create their own basement living area. Recently we made the decision to convert about 75% of our basement space into a finished family room with a half bath. Once financing was set up, we looked to secure a contractor and interviewed several. We were immediately impressed with Arnie during our initial visit as he took time to ask many questions and provide a lot of suggestions that we had not thought of, which ended up significantly enhancing the final product and our satisfaction. Arnie clearly had our best interests in mind, and selecting Arnie and his team for this project became a “no brainer” and work began quickly.
One of the most concerning parts of the project for us was allowing someone into your home every day when you will not be there. There is a lot of trust that goes into this, especially in today’s society. I am very pleased to say that Arnie and his team were very trustworthy, and we never had any issues or concerns. They were always very respectful of our property, and took time to clean up on a daily basis. They are also a fun yet respectful group of gentlemen who portray honorable morals, always took time to say hello and talk with our family members, etc.
The quality of work was outstanding. Everything from the drywall to the bathroom installation, or from the electrical to the craftsmanship and design…we couldn’t be more pleased. I am happy to recommend Arnie and his team for home renovations similar to ours. Arnie and his team would be our first and only call for our next project.
